FYE, Minnie Cora - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Minnie Cora Fye, 92, formerly of Mattoon died Monday afternoon in Gange Convalescent Home in Detroit, Mich. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Dodge Grove Cemetery.  Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home in charge. There will be no visitation.  Mrs. Fye was born Dec 23, 1877 in Indiana the daughter of Joshua and Mary Booth Harland. She married George Howard Fye Aug 29, 1896 in Hillsboro, Ind. He died Jan 17, 1962 in Mattoon. She is survived by two daughters, Mr. Louise Finley of Phoenix, AZ and Mrs. Walter (Mary) Hartley of Detroit; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.  Mrs. Fye, a resident of Mattoon for 58 years before moving to Michigan was a member of the Broadway Christian Church and Elect Lady Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Mattoon. – kbz
